Updates on.. what else??

6/25: NSL- "Kiss foot" Defense =D; started to sprint for the end zone, either on D or O.

6/26: Thursday Summer Frisbee (TSF) - worked on flick and backhand, pulled once.

7/02: NSL - Handled during scrimmage for the first time. "Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". Being a handler is definitely a new experience for me. I "hammered" once. Terrible hammer, but hey im developing new skill. My attempt using flick for the endzone didnt work. It floated right before the endzone. Hey, another development.

7s : I learned...

  1. To cut straight towards the handler, plant the foot hard - instead of banana cuts.
  2. To find open spaces.
  3. To throw long rather than short.
  4. To use my backhands rather than flicks.
  5. To fake and throw overhead flicks.
  6. To catch with one hand rather than 'pancake' the disc.
  7. To love ultimate frisbee more.

Practice makes perfect. The right practice makes it perfect faster. No doubt about that. Passion and determination drive a soul to a level he/she wants.

NUM Summer League 2008

Nashville Summer League 2008 is the first league of my life. So far this league has improved my skills and understanding of ultimate frisbee.

This ultimate sport has grown so much in me. Thank God for making a friend of mine, which is also my teammate that invited me to join the women's team of Vanderbilt University.

Absolutely, the learning experience while playing the summer league is very valuable. No wonder, Nashville Summer League is an event that I can't wait to go to every Wednesday. The fun, the competitiveness and the spirit of the game are the keys of my love towards frisbee summer league.

Fair play, spirit of the game - 2 important matters of frisbee. I love it and the love has grown so much in me. Now, I want to put my passion I had in elocution, debates and languages into a my new hobby, ultimate frisbee.
