Again.. some updates of my lover...
7/09 - NSL: It was hard this time. We lost two games. First one we was down by one point. We played with Lollipop Meanies. VUDU ex-captain, Katie Patterson was in the team. The first game was the one I worked the hardest. Scored one goal. I had a nice look of the disc, found the open spot and caught it. Then came to the second game, it turned out to be the one that I really hustled so far. It wasn't a good feeling when we lost to Marooninites. Sara Gibson, VUDU 08/09 Co-Captain was in the team. I learned, when the disc is at the line, defender should be forcing the line. I saved my captain's throw later on but we didnt score that point.
7/10 - TSF : I pulled twice. Weren't good but practice makes perfect. My hand bled because I dont want my face to smack the pave. And yes, the first time in history of Alumni Lawn frisbee. =D However, I handled few times and scored few points. Sometimes, crossing the disc works the best for a wide field like alumni lawn.
7/16 - NSL : We lost the first one, Gangreen. Rob Hilton (VUDU coach, Gangreen captain) wasn't there. And too bad that we don't have Nick and Chris this time. The first game really taught me to work hard. We were down by three for that game. It felt like the longest point ever. Yet, I learned to be in front of the stack and poach. The second game was awesome. We played with Maria's (my VUDUmate) team. We scored the first two points and the last two points. I caught the last point and we won 9-7. The last point was awesome. I was heading toward the endzone, passed the line, planted my foot hard, turned and I was opened. Bam! Scored! This time I worked more on my foot in terms of planting it hard on the ground and fake my move. The second game, the spirit we had was awesome. Positive. Dan kept telling "We are not down yet, we still have this," when we were down by two points. The sequence to the endzone was working pretty well. Also, it's Edward's last day.
Soup!...Free!.. Salad!...Free!.. Breadstick!..Free!.. Tipping the waitress!...Optional!... OLIVE GARDEN!!!!
